Art is far more than just a picture. It’s a reflection, an idea or statement of many artists around the world. I myself am passionate about doing art whenever I can. There are so many varieties of art; each two art creations never feel quite the same. The freedom of art is unlimited, yet some may feel hesitant or confused as to what about art is there to be passionate for. I want people to realize that art is far bigger and more enjoyable than they may believe.
Before I truly became adored with art, I noticed a lot in my free time I just did nothing. I either lay down or walk around mindlessly. So to solve my boredom, I decided to try art out. Before I only drew something if it was required in school. My first few creations were simple, but I was beginning to get into the feeling of drawing. Eventually, art has become one of my biggest hobbies. I also began to try out digital art (or pixel art) where I was amazed with the tools that were given to me and how I was able to use them to express myself and my ideas more.
What we love about art can be different for all; as we all have unique and personal interests. But art is diverse, so there may be something about art that is right for you. It does not need to be traditional art, visual arts encompasses far more than that. Crafting and sculpting can lead to new and exciting possibilities beyond 2D art. It uses almost any material and can range from wooden statues to custom bracelets. Digital art has recently become a well established type of art around the world, offering new tools and creative drawings for those who want to try something different. Traditional art is always going to be reliable, in its simplest form you just need paper and pencil/pen.
Additionally, the expression of art can really be anything. Whether you are drawing to reflect on your day, to represent an idea you have, or to make a statement; art can be just that. Sometimes finding inspiration can come from your own life experiences. There is nothing stopping you from expressing yourself the way you want to. You don’t have to share it to the entire world, but sharing it with at least those close around you would feel great. The point of art is to express yourself, sometimes it’s easier than using words.
Almost all people are able to draw, and even if a small portion of them are considered experts. But that’s okay! It does not need to be a masterpiece, but something you can be proud of. If you find yourself feeling negative towards your creation or underwhelmed, think about what you can do next time to make it better. Art will take practice to reach satisfaction, but the process of getting there would benefit your growth. Art can be a way of finding your inner self, discovering what you enjoy or don’t. Art is a way of expression, a universal language that everyone can understand.
Just go out there and try it out.
