Racism is a problem all around the world. It is something that shouldn’t even exist. It started way back, thousands of years ago, when slavery was still legal and is still going on to this day. We should’ve just left this in the past. Not saying it was right in the past, it was still wrong, but we should have just let it go. But even though the South side of America lost the war, they kept being racist towards anyone who wasn’t black.
But now it is just an even bigger problem. People who are racist should be charged or arrested. They think just because there is a racial slur that exists they could use it against those people. But they can’t. They think they have power over them just because they use words that shouldn’t be used.
Most of the people who have died due to racism have been black. Also, most of them were killed by white people. This also leads back to slavery because before the Civil War, white people used to own black people like slaves and treat them very horrible. If you have ever heard of George Floyd, he was killed by a white cop. Floyd never did anything but was thrown to the ground and the cop put a knee to his neck that did NOT allow him to breathe. Which ended up with his death. That is horrible and that is just one death due to racism. Many die each day due to this all around the world.
I don’t know what has gotten into these people who are racist. There is no point to this. There is no prize for doing this. As a matter of fact these people should be charged or arrested for doing that. If they keep doing it their jobs should be taken away. I feel like they think there will be no punishment towards their actions. Sometimes when people are being bullied they turn violent. So it may turn out to the racist person being harmed but then they end up with charges. Just for using self defense. If they don’t stop it, who will? Hopefully this will soon change. It would make this planet we live on a much better place for us to live.
Yet it may seem impossible to completely stop racism, which it probably is, there are many ways to reduce it with the help of everyone. We could introduce a bill about racism. Then protest about it. Protesting will show how much we care about it. Which would hopefully help the bill pass both the House and the Senate.Then goes to the president and decides either to veto it or pass. Protesting comes in and will also help pass it. But the only way to make this happen is with the help of everyone who wants the same thing as this. Especially if you are reading this. I would love the help from you guys.
