[THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF “WHY AM I SO ANGRY AND WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT IT?]
Spam! It used to just be the name for some weird canned ham that is actually very popular in Hawaii. However, now the word brings up an entirely different image in your head: annoying emails, robot calls, and social media bots. It is totally out of control and I am really angry about the situation. I can’t tell you how many times a day I am working on school work or something else and my phone rings with a number I don’t recognize. Sometimes I don’t bother answering, but other times I do. I’ve learned that if the phone number is similar to my cell phone it is probably spam. But, you know some times I just have to answer to see if it could be someone I know. Nine times out of ten it isn’t. Sometimes the robot voice isn’t even speaking a language I understand. Or sometimes it just hangs up! No one likes these calls.
How many things can just about everyone agree on in the world today? Well, I’ll tell you one thing for sure, that spam calls are universally hated, so why can’t we do anything about it?
Yes, there are some new features on your cell phone that can help notify you of a “suspected” spam call. And there are some no-call lists you can sign up for. But most of the time your phone is still going to wring and distract you from what you’re doing. We all need to come together on this issue and shut down these machines. So here’s my plan:
- I’m going to write a letter/send an email to every person in government that might be able to put this on their agenda. I’ll share my letter here (see my letter below) so you can do the same.
- I’m going to do some research into the companies that use spam calling and boycott their products until this changes.
- I’m going to….[End Sample]
