Dear Troy,
I am so incredibly lucky to have someone as motivating, friendly, helping, empathetic, funny, and as educating as you in my life. It was amazing the day I met you. My hands on the controller, I was lonely because I didn’t play with my friends that day, my happiness kept fading and fading until it was almost non-existent. But then I saw that you were driving with your friends (In Forza), cruising on the relaxing mountain roads towards Mexico, and I drove up to the road you were driving on. At that moment I met you and your friends, I felt happy again, my mood ameliorated. Ever since then we have been playing together, having fun, cracking jokes, talking about our lives, and talking about cars. What makes our friendship even better is that we can relate to a lot of the same things, especially our interest in cars. It’s unfortunate that I do not know you personally, I wish I can get to meet you in the flesh one day. But the reason why I am sending this to you is because I want you to know my appreciation for you.
We have been friends since February of 2019. I know it hasn’t been a long time been since then, but we have gotten so close in just one year and a couple months. In fact, I’m closer to you than I am with my friends that I have known since kindergarten! What makes our friendship even more strange is the fact that you’re 20 and you are friends with a 13-year-old. But that’s what makes our friendship even better, you always give me life advice and you tell me how to deal with problems and obstacles that will come in the future. You help me raise my self-esteem, you’ve always been there for me and we talk to each other about whatever we are struggling with.
I wish the best for you in the future, and I hope you get to open up the import shop you are planning on with you and your friends. You are unstoppable, you never gave up, you always got back up and tried even harder after every mistake and setback. Even after everything you’ve been through, no matter how hard everything got, you have always been strong enough to keep going, and that’s what makes you so special. I’m proud of you Troy, and I always will be. You’re my inspiration to keep moving on, chapter after chapter. I see you as a big brother I always wish I had.
All in all, I want to thank you for everything you have done for me. I thank you for teaching, listening, and helping me. It has been a blessing to have someone like you. Thank you so much for everything man, I mean it, and I hope you stay 5′ 2.”
Sincerely,
Ulysses Zavala – Mount Carmel – DMSF
