Today I will be writing a tribute to my Mom for Mother’s Day. I would like to first start by saying that there are no words to describe you. You are a big part of my life and have made such a big impact on me. I wouldn’t be the girl I am today without you. You are always there to teach me right from wrong, to give me advice, to be my best friend, and so much more. Whenever I have made a mistake or done something wrong, you have always been right by my side helping me make it right.
No matter what you have always been my biggest supporter. You’ve driven me to every single basketball practice, basketball game, rowing practice, rowing competition, volleyball practice, volleyball game that I’ve had. You have never missed one of my games. You’re always cheering me on the sidelines and it’s not only for sports, you cheer me on for everything. You push me to achieve all my goals and help me live out all my dreams. You’ve always only wanted John,Jay, and I to have an amazing life.
You’ve taught me so many important lessons and let me know that I can always come to you no matter what. You aren’t going to judge me but instead help me if I’m doing anything wrong. You are the most caring, friendly, outgoing person I know. You’ve helped me become the person I am today.
I may not say it enough but I am so grateful for everything you have given me, for all the opportunities you’ve helped me get, and for letting me know that no matter what you love me more than anything. I still remember that during the school year you would pack our lunches and always slip a note into them. The notes would say a quote to motivate us such as “Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today,-Malcom X,” or it would say something like “Hope you have a good day, I love you.” It may be something little but it always made my day. I knew that there was going to be a note, yet every day I was still surprised when I opened my lunch box and found it there.
There are not enough words to explain how much I love you. I will always try to repay you for everything you have done for me but nothing I do will ever be enough to repay you. You’ve given me 3 of the biggest gifts of all and that’s the gift of life, your love, and your support. I love you endlessly, Happy Mother’s Day.
