In this essay, I will be telling you more about Princess Diana and how some say that her death never was an accident. You might not know much about her yet, but don’t worry, because I will be telling you more about her, her so-called accident, and why people think these theories.
At this point, you may be asking, “Who even is Princess Diana?” Well, Princess Diana was born on the 1st of July in 1961, and then suffered a terrible death on the 31st of August in 1997. She was known as the Princess of Wales, and was a member of the royal family. She was the first wife of Prince Charles, and mother of Prince William and Prince Harry, but then Diana and Charles separated in 1992. Diana undertook royal duties on behalf of the queen, and represented her at functions across the Commonwealth realms. She had also done many different unconventional approaches to charity work, including campaigning for animal protection and fighting against the use of landmines. She was the patroness of charities and organisations who worked with the homeless, youth, drug addicts, and the elderly. Lastly, from 1989 she was president of Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.
Now that you know a little bit more about Princess Diana, it’s time to dive into how she died. In the early hours of the 31st of August in 1997, Princess Diana was in a terrible car accident. While she was in the car, the driver, Henri Paul, reportedly approached the entrance of a road tunnel at Paris’s Pont de l’Alma driving at approximately 70 mph, even though the speed limit was 30mph. According to reports, Paul lost control of the car and crashed into a pillar in the middle of the highway. Paul and Fayed were announced dead and Diana—still alive—was brought to the Pitie-Salpetriere Hospital. Early reports said Diana was suffering from a concussion, broken arm, and cut thigh. However, the princess had also suffered massive chest injuries. After the doctors had been operating on her, and trying their hardest, they had failed to get her heart beating probably again. She never regained her consciousness again, and passed away from internal bleeding at 4:53 in the morning.
Now the moment that you have all been waiting for, the real conspiracy of Princess Diana’s death. Most people are saying that her death was no accident, and there are many theories about this. One of the theories states that at the time of her death, she was dating Dodi Fayed, an Egyptian film producer who died in the limo alongside her, who was supposedly planning to propose to Diana the night of the car crash. In a court witness statement, Dodi’s dad, Mohamed al-Fayed, said they were killed because the monarchy couldn’t stand the thought of Diana and Prince Charles’s sons — heirs to the British throne — having a stepfather who was Egyptian and Muslim. There is another theory that says the limo driver, Henri Paul, who was drunk at the time of the accident, intentionally crashed the car. Because Paul was the head of security at the Ritz Hotel in Paris, where the couple had left just prior to the crash, conspiracy theorists believe he might have been on the payroll of a national intelligence service group that wanted Diana dead. One last theory says that Diana’s medical care after the crash was sabotaged.
I do not believe that any of these theories are true, just because of some of the facts that were stated. But, what is true, is that you are leaving here with more knowledge about Princess Diana’s life, and the conspiracies of her car crash.
