What is the one thing we are so angry at because we have not changed it yet?Change is one of the many things we have fought to get so many times but at the end of the day change is the one thing we still cannot get.Racism Is one of the main things that we have tried to change but never ends up changing and to be frank about it I really would like to know why.I will mainly be talking about the cops and deaths the history along with how it’s still happening and finally how can we change it.
Before I start I just wanted to what the definition of racism:prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.I will mainly be taking about race.
For starters racism has been happening for hundreds of hundreds of years and to this day it never wants to change.People make several assumptions just based on the color of others skin.George Floyd, Laquan Mcdonald and hundreds more have died from the act of racism. What has happened to those corporates that killed all those Innocent people?George Floyd’s killer Received a sentence of 22 1/2 years. While for Laquan Mcdonald’s killer only received 81 months which is a little less than a year. Several other killers have only gone to prison but for a while but many others have only gone for no less than five or so years.Others barely got a slap on the rist such as the police officers with no less than a 1-2 week suspension and after that they just get put right back on the streets.
Racism doesn’t just happen within cops it can happen everywhere especially if you go back.Racism has been around for a long period of time.Slavery was apart of racism and happened for more than 200 years.More than 200 years go by and we still live in a time where we treat people of color people of religion and ethnicity poorly or in other words “people how are not acual American or white or Christian or that don’t speak proper English.”
There are many ways people can be racist and apparently they didn’t know it was racist or offensive. They can be random words who they think are just word but really they mean rude racist things to that person.Others can by the way they treat them make them do stuff for them. This right here is just the one of those many other parts of racism that we live with today.
For a normal person I would just say to not be racist anymore and I know that sounds stupid but it’s the truth. But really try and make that person that is being racist to you or to another person challenge them to see how they would feel in there shoes or have them spen one day with you let them experience all of that hate and pain that you would normally fell on a day to day basis
Based on what I just said I only have one question for you. When do we start the change and get justice for all of those things that we lost?
