The world is ending. Yes I mean it. ⅓ of animal and plant life are expected to live by the year of 2050. Global Warming is slowly killing our world and if we do not do anything about it, then future generations will have no Earth to live on. So you might be thinking, what is Global Warming? Well, according to National Geographic, it is the long-term warming of the planet’s overall temperature. Therefore, causing wildfires such as the one from Canada almost two weeks ago. The consequences we suffered was a thick fog and air quality warnings. However, that is just one of our issues of how Global Warming impacts us. Another situation where we experienced this is when it was warm over the winter. Remember how it was supposed to snow around November/December? What if I told you that Global Warming was a part of this scheme. Yes it was. You people might be thinking why this is bad if it is warm? Well it does affect one place, that place is Antarctica. Icebergs have been melting, which decreases habitat for animals such as penguins, polar bears, snow leopards, etc. It also releases sea levels to rise.
This is awful! I do not like this at all. Our world is all about seasons. I do not want to live in a world where I live in the heat all four seasons. What I also dislike about this is that plants are burning. There will be less resources for the economy and all crops grown will most likely die. You might be asking, why not just put shade over plants? Well, to answer that question first of all, your plants need sunlight. The plants need heat to undergo photosynthesis. Although, too much heat can burn nature. One way we can reduce this is by using windmills, electric cars, solar
panels, instead of building huge factories and creating all this pollution in the sky that makes your amazing sky blue, but that is unacceptable! I know you may not care about this because you might be saying we can just grow more crops and expand our resources. What if I tell you that Global Warming affects you? For example, I currently hate Global Warming because it is basically a shortcoming of my life. Don’t you want to live to be 100 years old? At least it is expected to be. Which is why I want to do something about it. One way you can stop global warming is first recycle. Yes this impacts our planet to use renewable resources and stop using garbage items that harm Earth. Currently, 75% of the American waste stream is recyclable, yet we only recycle about 30% of it according to dosomething.org. Which is why you want to start acting now!
In conclusion, you may be asking yourself if Global Warming will eventually end if we keep on recycling and using renewable resources. What if I told you there is not really a solution to stop Global Warming? In fact, it is technically unstoppable. To add on, there is not really gonna be a point in time where the world is perfectly gonna be unpolluted. However, if you keep on doing your part and recycle, your contribution will be rewarded if the world can just simply follow this rule! The only thing we can really do is decrease the process. Yet, a mystery to solve for another day. To be continued… (or not).
