Being perfect is the one and only thing in the world that will never happen. You always tried to be perfect in every little way. You needed perfect grades, a perfect score, what couldn’t be perfect you had to be the best at it. Being perfect and being the best at everything is impossible. Perfection is the one and only goal that no matter how hard you try you can never reach. One stressful day during second grade you had a writing assignment due. You only had a limited time to do it. But you wanted it to be the best and you wanted a perfect score. When time was up you tried to hurry and finish. But ultimately you couldn’t finish in time. The teacher was there to pick up your work and you would give it to him. He constantly told you that you would still get full credit but you couldn’t live with the fact that you were turning in uncompleted work. So u started to get mad and threw a temper tantrum. You ripped up your paper and started crying in the corner. It was very embarrassing. After that experience you learned something very important. Your goal should be Progress Not Perfection. This is an important thing everybody should keep in mind, especially people who set the bar high. It’s important to remember not to set it too high.
In the future you won’t be this perfect person, with perfect grades, and perfect scores. However that’s good because without always trying to focus on your work. You developed many new skills and discovered many new things that you wouldn’t have even thought of to be possible. Suddenly you have a whole world to discover. When you go out into this beautiful world you will see so many things. All of them are imperfect and unique. Even identical twins will be completely different from each other. In the real world there is no such thing as perfect, it is a fake illusion. That’s the thing with trying to be perfect, it’s exactly like trying to eat your house. You might wonder what these two completely different things have in common. Well they both share a fundamental truth,…….. They are impossible. Remember that test is nowhere near as life changing as you think it is. It could be your final, a quiz, the SAT, or the ACT. It could even be for a job, or even for a scholarship. Just know sometimes you’re going to fail or not do as good as you’d hoped. But the important thing is you tried and ultimately you learned something from it. In the end life is unpredictable and you never know what will happen. They say everything in life happens for a reason from tornados, to the results you got on a test, to why bees make honey. If it doesn;t work out the way you planned then it must have not been meant. But whatever happens you just have to go with the flow and keep living life to the fullest.
