Amelia Earhart was a young female pilot back in the beginning of the 1900’s. She was also the first woman to fly alone across the Atlantic Ocean. One day, Earhart decided to fly around the entire world with her navigator, Fred Noonan. Soon, they begin to run out of fuel mid air causing the plane to go down. However, the plane was never discovered after the incident. There was an operation to find Earhart and Noonan, but they were soon declared lost at sea. Approximately 84 years ago, Amelia Earhart’s’ remains were soon discovered on Nikumaroro island. Nikumaroro island was discovered in 1824, before the remains were found. This proves that possibly, Earhart was never lost at sea since her remains were found on an island founded soon before the plane incident as said on the news web, PBS.org. The island where Earhart had, “disappeared,” on, there was aircraft found such as tools and wreckage. The plane that was now discovered seemed to not have any marks regarding the plane crash (or not crash). Although the aircraft was found under the sea, Earhart’s remains seemed to be found on land. If Amelia Earhart had passed away from the plane fuel, the remains would’ve been discovered near the aircraft. Another example that supports my claim is how there are various theories about this odd disappearances regarding the fact that she might be alive according to a biography on Britannca.com. It states that many people seemed to believe that Earhart and Noonan survived on the island near the Pacific Ocean. For instance, some believe that both Earhart and Noonan were captured by the Japanese, then found and rescued by the US forces, then moved to New Jersey where Earhart assumed the identity of Irene Bolam, a housewife. How could Earhart pass from the plane incident if there are hundreds and hundreds theories regarding what might’ve happened to her? Another theory may be that Noonan and Earhart had run out of fuel and crashed into the Pacific Ocean. Although that is where the aircraft had been discovered, Amelia Earhart’s remains were still found on an island. Comparing the two theories I had just discussed, Earhart’s crash into the Pacific Ocean does happen to seem more realistic than Earhart identifying as somebody else just to disappear. Why would there be such an unrealistic theory about Earhart’s disappearance? Although there has been no evidentiary support to back up the claim stating that Earhart did happen to die, there is tons to support the claim that Earhart had survived according to the many, many carious theories any for example that Earhart was saved by the U.S. force, then changed her identity to become an unknown housewife. Another theory may be that Earhart actually flew to Connecticut and changed her identity. There are many theories yet none have been proven ever since, but here are my reasonings as to how and why Earhart could have possibly survived her plane disappearance in the summer of 1937.
