The Pyramids of Giza are one of the last Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing. The three Pyramids have caused a lot of theories to circulate around the globe. For example, the pyramids’ northern coordinates are the same as the speed of light. Another reason is that it seems impossible for the Egyptians to build such a monumental structure without the help of modern technology.
Many people believe in this concept because they do not believe that people from the past could construct the tallest human-made structure. To build on the concept, people have made books that were science fiction, about extraterrestrials having an involvement in the construction of the pyramids. This led to many people second-guessing the possibility of this idea. According to History Extra, “The belief in ancient aliens visiting Earth and imparting their superior knowledge stemmed, initially at least, from a deep-rooted racism and prejudice against people from the past, a reluctance or refusal to believe that an ancient civilization from somewhere else in the world… could construct such impressive monuments.” This has caused many people to believe in the idea of aliens having a part in how the pyramids were built because many do not want to believe that it was possible for humans to make something extraordinary like the pyramids.
The reasons that many people come up with to resonate that the aliens built the pyramids all have logical explanations to debunk this conspiracy theory. Extraterrestrial involvement in the pyramids has been debated all over the world. A theory that keeps people wondering about this theory is that the northern coordinates are the same as the speed of light. According to Full Fact, “Speed of light: 299,792,458 m/s. Coordinates of the Great Pyramid of Giza: 29.9792458°N.” However, there are possible reasonable explanations for both of them being the same. For example, the Egyptians were clever and might have had information that other people were not aware of. This could also just be a mere coincidence because many places have coordinates relating to other important things.
Additionally, many believe that the Egyptians couldn’t build The Pyramids of Giza without modern technology. There were a total of 2,300,000 stones used to build the pyramids, each one averaging the weight to be 2.5 tons equivalent to the weight of a great white shark. Although it may have seemed impossible for the Egyptians it is said that they used ramp techniques. Based on National Geographic, “It’s generally believed that the Egyptians moved massive stone blocks to the heights along large ramps, greased by water or wet clay, using a system of sledges, ropes, rollers, and levers.” This shows that the construction of the pyramids had nothing to do with extraterrestrial life but had to be done by the Egyptians’ smart techniques of using a ramp.
In conclusion, even if there may have been many coincidences that have come up in the construction of the pyramids there are explanations to debunk those claims. What do you think about this conspiracy theory?
