The Earth is not flat at all. The Earth is not flat because there is proven evidence that the Earth is round, and I will tell you how and why. As the Earth rotates on an everyday basis it’s facing the sun, which indicates that we have night and day at different times. This shows us how the Earth is round because if it were flat it would be night or day forever. If the Earth were flat we would be able to see sailing ships from miles away no matter how far away. They would always be in our field of view if the Earth was flat.
However, when we stand on the Earth and look down the street we won’t be able to see that far — this is because the Earth is round. We can’t look out in the distance and see towns and cities because the landscape of the Earth is curved, indicating that the Earth is round. If the Earth were flat, then all shadows would be the same, regardless of where it is at. This would mean that the sun would hit the entire Earth if it was flat. If we were to put two sticks at two different places on the Earth, the shadow would be different because of the Earth’s round shape. This shows the sun is hitting on certain sides making the shadows look completely different.
This also explains why the sun sets and rises at different time zones in different locations. The sun is in different positions in different locations. So the timing of the sun setting lowering into the horizon going to different locations around the world, different time ranges, and different relations. This is also the reason different parts of the Earth have different times. In Illinois it was 1:00 pm but in Florida, it would be 2:00 pm showing different parts of the country have different time ranges. There is this thing proven that if the Earth were flat you would be able to see other buildings or places such as cities, towns, different regions, and things like seeing boats in the water hundreds of miles away.
If you still think the Earth is flat, there was a study about experimenting to see if the Earth is flat or round. The experiment was this team that went far apart from each other and it was three open circles spread out like a line far away. They flashed a light through the open circle to see if the others could see, they didn’t see the light because the Earth is round and has a curve which made the light unavailable from their perspective. This shows that the Earth is round, proving my point in my statement. There is another experiment if you put two sticks or pencils a decent range from each other. This will make the shadows of the pencil or stick to be different because of the round Earth and the Earth orbiting around the sun. This indicates that the Earth is round and has many proven facts as to why it is round and how to know it is round.
