The Inspiring Spider

Miles Morales is from the movie “Into the Spiderverse,” based off of the comic books Miles Morales was in. In my opinion, Miles Morales is one of the best Spidermans from the comics. The first time I saw him on screen is when I was only a little girl, and I was too uninterested to know how much Miles inspires me now, but he did do things in the movie that reminded my past self of me. He related to me because music was an escape from reality for him, and it was for me too, maybe even for other people.

I like how Miles embraces his culture with the way he speaks. For example, around his mom, he always speaks Spanish (sometimes), and he always calls her “Mami.” Another examples is that when he’s around other Latinx people, he speaks Spanish around them too. Another thing I like about Miles is that he likes to collect action figures and other collectables to collect. Miles also loves his city, that’s why he protects it, which is another great reason to like him.

Another quality that Miles has is looking fly when he goes outside. His fashion sense doesn’t usually inspire how I dress, but I’ve seen and met people whose outfits are inspired by the way he dresses, or they just like his style in general. He usually wears Nikes, a big hoodie, jeans or sweatpants, and a bubble jacket on top, but that’s only when it’s cold. I love how Miles cares about his parents so much, and how he always protects them and looks out for them. Miles even bought his parents two cakes for their anniversary because he wanted to write a long paragraph(s) of how much he loves them. Super sweet miles over here.

I hope Miles can get more friends at his school (Brooklyn Visions) and he won’t just have the ones outside of his universe (so he won’t be lonely). I also hope in the next movie he’ll be able to save his dad from a canon he started so he won’t have to suffer a sad loss. The canon is when Miles changed something that was supposed to happen in another universe, so now it’s happening in Miles’ universe. I also wish in the last movie he didn’t throw a bagel at the new villain (Spot) in the latest movie (it caused problems).

Miles has been and will always be an inspiring character to me because of his kindness and loyalty to the people he loves, and I hope other people can feel inspired by him too.
