Running can improve physical fitness. Track is a fun sport and anyone can do it because there’s an event for everybody. You can be a sprinter, distance runner, thrower, or jumper. Joining track will give you a supportive team who will always encourage you. You can make new friends at practice or meets.
What makes a good track athlete?
Good track and field athletes should have good focus to block distractions while in practice or at meets. You should have discipline because you will need to stick to training if you want to improve. Some physical characteristics would be endurance to maintain speed, coordination for hurdles and relays, strength for starts, jumping events, throwing events, and speed. You should always push through setbacks and have confidence in yourself as a track and field athlete.
