Hey Girl Heyyy,
Before we move everything into my dorm, I just want to take a moment to say thank you to my biggest supporter; the one who is there no matter what, the one who helps everyone get through the toughest of times—my Mommy.
Thank you for giving not just me, but everyone who needs it, the strength to get through whatever they are going through. You are always there to comfort me if I’m crying or give me advice when I need it. Your words of wisdom help more than you could ever know. We can always laugh together too, even if it’s about something silly. You always reassure me and make sure I know my worth; telling me I look amazing when I don’t think so. Thank you.
You are the person I always want to call, no matter if things are good or bad. I have looked up to you since I was young, and I always will, because of the incredible person you are. Even when you are exhausted, emotionally drained, or stressed out by all that you do, you still make sure that there is food on the table for all your children. You always go above and beyond, not just for us, but for others too. Your strength, selflessness, and love are noticed and appreciated.
Thank you for giving me your 50th birthday to help me move into my dorm. Thank you for believing in me and homeschooling me and my siblings until we could test into the selective enrollment system; making it possible for me to attend boarding school today. Without you working as hard as you do, I would be nowhere close to where I am today.
Even though I may get mad at you sometimes and you may get mad at me, we both know it’s out of love. All of your long lectures and times you have had to remind me to do something are all pieces that have helped me be and become successful; not just in school, but in life.
Thank you for giving me the strength to do everything I have done up until now, as well as the strength to keep going. You having seven children has given me a strong support system and the best role models that I didn’t know I needed, and wouldn’t know what to do without.
I will be forever grateful for you, Mommy. I appreciate everything you have done and do for our family, especially the little things. Your stellar example has helped me grow as a sister, a teammate, a friend, a student, a daughter, and most importantly, as a person. One of my biggest goals in life is to make you feel just as loved and as proud as you have made me. There are no words to explain how extraordinary you are, but I hope this letter at least helps convey the sentiment. You deserve all the flowers in the world.
That’s it… thank you.
I love you infinity and unconditionally, my superhero.
