AI in the Job Market

Artificial intelligence is a tool that we all use and does all our hard work for us, does research within seconds, writes papers, heck it can even make pictures and videos so real that the question “is this ai” is asked almost everyday. But with each passing day artificial intelligence inches its way closer to becoming more and more human-like. They might start taking over the job market very very soon

For right now these jobs include: customer service representatives, data entry clerks, and manufacturing workers. This is because these jobs are repetitive and data driven tasks but there might be more jobs that are soon to be taken over like bookkeepers, market research analysts, and some graphic design positions.

Another thing artificial intelligence does that i really dislike is making pieces or writing and art pieces when artificial intelligence makes these pieces of media that it is stripping away the soul and meaning of art pieces and writing pieces because those pieces of media are a result of something only humans do THINK these forms of media were created because a human thought of it and expressed those thoughts in a meaningful and powerful way. Artificial intelligence doesn’t have its own human mind like ours and is unable to make its own thoughts. therefore what’s the point of making it if there’s no soul or essence behind it

But what can we do to solve this rising issue you might ask? Well a number of things actually first we can do the obvious and flat out ban it right? No? That won’t work? Not necessarily although as you can see in this essay I have a strong hate for artificial intelligence but I will admit it is a useful tool for some situations like answering some basic questions, doing research within seconds or even creating recipes! These things are completely harmless unlike taking over the job market and causing every human to be jobless and with the way our country works you kinda need to have a job for money. But anyways with those small harmless things I think we can still have artificial intelligence just have restrictions on it and not let it advance anymore beyond that and what we can do now as high schoolers is to boycott artificial intelligence as whole so there are less users in  artificial intelligence

In conclusion artificial intelligence can be a useful tool that can make our lives easier by performing simple tasks like researching topics and giving that information to you within seconds basic customer service online, or helping generate ideas for writing and other things. But when AI begins replacing real jobs and creative human work it becomes more of a threat than a benefit for right now jobs that involve simple repetitive tasks are already being taken over and creative expressions as writing and art are already at risk of being taken over These forms of expression should remain uniquely human because they come from thought, emotion, and experience things artificial intelligence simply can’t do. Now obviously, completely banning artificial intelligence might be out of the picture. Putting restrictions in place of what artificial intelligence can or can’t do  might be more realistic and still necessary. By doing this, we can protect our jobs, our creativity, and our humanity in a world that’s becoming more digital by the day.
