This Is to You.

Standing here on this stage, and seeing my fellow graduates and their families who have been supporting them all these years is amazing. I have enjoyed our time together. It’s still unbelievable to think our time together is over and that we are going our separate ways. But this is not a time to be sad, you should be excited! You are starting a new chapter and you’re going to meet new people and make lifelong friends.

You will experience some challenges, but I believe everyone of you can overcome every obstacle you face and learn from every experience. All the experiences you face all happen for a reason, remember that. I would also like to add that you should set your goals high and don’t stop till you get there. Keep chasing your dreams and goals.

Before I go.

I want to say thank you to my teachers, and to my parents for teaching me and for always helping me. You have always pushed me to do better, and I am very grateful, but I want to give a special thanks to a someone.

This person has been with me from day one. They have taught me many things and showed me how strong and brave I can be especially when I tried out things for the first time. This individual has always told me to work hard and to give it my all. They also have always believed that I could do and be great. This special person told me once to keep fighting to do better and to always keep working for what I want. This person would fight for me if I ever needed her too. This individual has always been more proud of me than I have ever been for myself. This special person is my grandma,

Abuelita,

This is to you,

Thank you for everything, you have always been there for me especially when I felt bad you would make me better. You have always helped me when I got stuck and guided me whenever I needed guides. You have also always loved to see me follow my passions and when I don’t hold back on my dreams. You also love to show off my accomplishments to others. My grandma was very upset when she couldn’t go to my awards ceremony, but when she saw a picture of all my awards she was very proud, more proud of me, then I was proud of myself.

If you don’t know my grandma, she is one of the strongest, toughest, and most honest people I know. She is very bold and she says what she thinks without any care. I am surprised it hasn’t gotten her in trouble yet. She is also very sassy. It’s quite funny. One time we went purse shopping and she was so done with being there. She was just waiting to leave and she had the sassiest stance and it made me and my sister laugh really hard. My grandma also always finds a way to make my day and make me laugh. And when I mean my grandma is bossy, I mean it. When my grandma needs something to be done it has to be done in that second. Once you get to know my grandma, she is a lovely person even if she seems rough on the outside.

Abuelita you have always been my number one fan and I am very proud and grateful to have a grandma like you, thank you so much for everything.
