Deportation has got to stop. Many families are being separated, losing their jobs, being traumatized. We must STOP IT!
Deportation has gotten to many people, it has destroyed families, it has destroyed the country. Many undocumented families are scared to step foot outside because they are scared of ICE. The worst part is whenever they break into a home they don’t have a warrant; they just show up and break your door with force to arrest you. Many kids depend on their parents to live. Many go to school and when school is over they don’t understand what’s going on or what to do since their parents have been taken and they don’t even realize it yet.
Donald Trump wants to deport every immigrant in the United States because he feels that all the immigrants are committing crimes and hurting the country. This is unfair. He says that all immigrants are doing nothing to contribute, but this isn’t true. All of the work that the immigrants have done, no one else could’ve done it. For example: no one wants to work on a farm all day from early morning to dark night, no one wants to go out in the cold, hot, windy climates to build buildings for people who don’t want to give thanks or support them. The deportation process is affecting the way we live because it’s damaging food prices, the amount of time it takes for food to get delivered from the farm. Deportation is also affecting the economy because according to www.forbes.com, there is a High-Financial Burden. The American Immigration Council estimates that a one time mass deportation process could cost around $315 billion. There can also be a shortage of work because undocumented immigrants play essential roles in most of the jobs like farm, construction, agriculture, and hospitality. Approximately 50-70% of undocumented immigrants are farm workers, and that’s just on the farm, but can you imagine what’s going to happen if they arrest all the undocumented workers who contribute to this country? Undocumented immigrants contribute significantly to local economies through consumption. For example, in Colorado, undocumented immigrants held $5.8 billion in spending power in 2023.
Many people you might see out in the street working by selling food, working in supermarkets, and doing construction are Hispanic, and as most people think about them, they call them “Immigrants” , but everyone does not realize how much these “Immigrants” have contributed to the United States. The United States relies on these “Illegal People”; none of the American citizens would like to get up early on a hot morning or on a cold morning just to go out to work the whole day. Immigrant families are the ones that work most, spend most, receive some of the worst hate, yet they are the ones who have the most fun and try to make the best out of every situation no matter the case.
In conclusion, this is why mass deportation has got to stop, and this is why Trump needs to realize that these deportations are affecting everyone and the country. Donald Trump has to get all of the undocumented people with criminal records, and leave the rest of the good undocumented American citizens here.
