For me, baseball is life. But you’ll have to try it for yourself.I have had multiple great experiences with baseball and I have also learned a lot of important skills that I still use today. But enough about me-I want you to try baseball for yourself. Baseball is a great sport because it helps people stay active while having a great experience. There isn’t a better sense of happiness than when you get a big hit and run the bases as fast as you can. The suspense over whether you’re going to be safe and-the amount of energy and excitement you have is one of the best feelings you will ever feel. Trust me on this. It helps people exercise because baseball includes cardio, weight lifting depending on what kind of level of baseball you’re at, and speed/stamina.
Baseball is also another way to build leadership. I have personally learned most of my leadership skills through baseball because of how long I have played it. There was one time where me and my teammates were in the playoffs and we were down by five runs and it was the last inning of the game. Everybody was mumbling to themselves, “we lost already” and, “what’s the point of playing anymore? I told myself no, that this is not going to end this way. I told all my teammates to huddle up, and I gave them all a sense of courage because I had started chanting something and the whole team started chanting with me. Everybody was happy and encouraged. It helped us win the game by one run. In fact, we went to the championship after that game. That is just one example of how leadership can take place in baseball.
Baseball helped me make many new friends such as one of my closest friends named Brian. We have been best friends since we met in T-ball, which was when I was around four years old. He is my closest friend that I have made from baseball till this day.
One of the greatest feelings in life is going to your favorite baseball team’s stadium with your family and just enjoying the game with a nice cold cup of lemonade and a nice warm hotdog. That feeling is even better when your home team wins and everybody is cheering, and your high fiving random people you don’t even know because that is how happy you are.
Something else that is very cool is the gear that you get to use when playing baseball. My favorite gear to pick out for baseball is the bat, baseball mit, batting gloves, cleats, helmet, arm sleeves, and sunglasses. The bat that I am using right now is actually called the pencil bat because it is designed to look like a pencil. It’s my personal favorite because my god father surprised me with it after a game that we had just won. The pencil bat was one of the bats that I have been wanting for a while, maybe for a couple months. He must have overheard me talking about it to my family and got it for me as a gift. I have cherished it and have used it ever since he got it for me.
Therefore, these are all reasons you have to play baseball. Surely you’re going to go play baseball after you finish reading this right. Thank you so much and please please make sure you at least try it.
